"I joined the board because of its fierce commitment to breaking down social, systemic and institutional barriers that discriminate against people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We use a person-centered approach and believe everyone should have the opportunity to utilize their rich and distinct talents. Disability doesn’t mean inability. So, we support and encourage the Executive Director in staff efforts to promote much needed community awareness and work prospects. This helps our clients, as well as other people with IDD in Calhoun County, live into their best selves."
